Twin Oaks Golf Course Wedding
If you're searching for a wedding venue in North County San Diego that has everything in one place, Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos deserves to be at the top of your list. I had the pleasure of photographing L+A's wedding here, and it's quickly become one of my favorite venues in the area — and it's easy to see why.
Everything in One Place
One of the biggest stressors on a wedding day is logistics — getting from the ceremony space to the reception, coordinating photos across multiple locations, making sure everyone ends up in the right place at the right time. Twin Oaks completely eliminates that problem. The bridal suite, groom suite, ceremony space, and reception are all in the same area, which means your day flows effortlessly and nobody is scrambling between locations.
As a photographer, this is a dream. It means more time capturing real moments and less time herding people across a parking lot.
A Venue That Photographs Beautifully
Twin Oaks offers so many options for photos that I never feel limited here. The grounds are lush and green, the architecture gives you clean backdrops, and — one of my personal favorites — you can head out onto the golf course itself for golden hour and sunset portraits. There is something about that open sky with the rolling greens that makes for stunning, cinematic images.
L+A took full advantage of this, and while the sky had turned overcast by the time we headed out for sunset portraits, it actually worked in our favor — the soft, diffused light made for some really beautiful and flattering images.
Indoor or Outdoor Reception — You Choose
Twin Oaks gives couples the flexibility to have either an indoor or outdoor reception, which is a huge plus in Southern California where the weather is almost always on your side. L+A chose an outdoor reception, and it was absolutely magical — string lights, open air, and that relaxed San Diego evening energy that makes you never want the night to end.
With around 80 guests, the space felt perfectly sized — intimate enough to feel warm, spacious enough that nobody felt cramped. The vibe was relaxed and joyful, which matched L+A’s personalities completely. They are genuinely one of the sweetest couples, and it showed in every moment of their day.

Beyond the practical benefits, Twin Oaks just has great energy. The staff keeps the day running smoothly, the spaces are well-maintained and photogenic, with a variety of backdrops that give each wedding its own feel.
